Monday May 11th, 2009 I was a guest at the "Loving True Blood in Dallas" Blog Talk Radio show. I love the show and Dallas had a lot of people that had submitted reviews for Dead and Gone. I was one of them....
Are you having a Premiere Party with your friends?
True Blood - Meet the Vampires
Bill Compton (173 years old, Southern gentleman), Eric Northman (1000 years old, Warrior Viking) - Both men are in love with the same woman. Who will win her heart?
Bits and pieces ...
The men of True Blood at PaleyFest 2009:
When asked about whether he will stay true to Charlaine Harris' books, Alan Ball said that “There are some things from the books that aren’t going to make it onto the screen, but there will also be things not from the books that are on the show that when you see them, your jaws will be on the floor.”
Alan Ball on Maryanne (played by Michelle Forbes - Galactica, Kalifornia): “She is trouble. She’s more trouble than anyone ever thought she’d be.”
Alexander Skarsgard on his audition: He said that he read for the part of Bill but that obviously didn't get it . He told the audience he was very lucky that the writers went on strike because it gave him the opportunity to finish shooting Generation Kill (HBO, 2008) just in time to take on the role of our beloved viking vampire Eric.
Alexander Skarsgard believes that Eric is a “sweetheart” to those he’s friends with, but that he’s just not friends with many people. Wouldn't you want to be a friend of that gorgeous vampire?
Sam Trammel told the audience that his least favorite scene was the one where he runs naked through the woods. He was wearing beige color jazz shoes to make sure he didn't step on fire ants while he was running. You may have not like it Sam, but we did!
Ryan Kwanten was at the center of most of the jokes related to "body exposure". He did say he feels comfortable with his body and being naked in the most episodes was never a big deal.
Nelsan Ellis said that some people confuse his character with his persona making him a bit uncomfortable when they get a little too close and personal!
